I get the impression that Kirk is not staying in this series. Or if he does likely not on the Enterprise for long.
In the latest episode he mentioned being a person who doesnβt stay in one place for long. Also, mentioning the pregnancy to Laβan has me thinking heβs there on the Enterprise to help but not to stay.
I think these are hints that he may pop in on a few occasions but not a fixture.

A bought an OEM SNES controller that was converted to USB years back from retroUSB. Just looked now and it seems they may not stock them anymore but they do offer kits for DIY and even usb adapters for some platforms.
There are more versatile controllers for those who need it but I mainly play NES and SNES games so it works well.
