Damn, even if it was to be excepted with how the admin issue was evolving, it's still sad.

But i guess the strengh of the fediverse come from the fact that such an issue can happen without impacting the entire lemmy community as a whole.

I'm just worried that the lack of moderation becomes a recurrent issue in the future of lemmy with the userbase growth and the lack of revenue.

I wish best luck for communities moderators and EE users!

Tbh few months ago i would be absoluetly against it and argue that this is support for a thing that kills artists. But now and with this specific case i'd just say that's too bad but not a big deal.

I do some art myself and i avoid using AI for inspiration, like i avoid being dependent on any tool i cannot fully understand. I know that this is not the vision of some others artists and if they find joy in using AI, good for them, just, i think it is putting their creativity on the side, which is wasted potential.

Like others say though, i hope that ZUN will keep his drunk brain as the root of the game he makes. That he will keep touhou "artisanal". (I think he will do, because afterall, before genAI was everywhere, he used stock image for backgrounds, which have very little importance on the content itself, AI's a small change).

That aside, with the anti-genAI movement on internet becoming more harsh and unforgiving, i'd say i'm just tired of doing morals on others.

If an artist is passionate and happy, about its project, it is the only thing that matter. If they use gen tools to do it faster and that no one will notice because it's too good, it's their problem. It's them who should question themselves if they want to let an AI putting others ideas on theirs, whitout regretting it later.

(oops i divagued a bit on the end)

True, i did a sophism, all cards must now be reversed, i am upvoting you.

You are doing a logical fallacy of assuming wrong based only on logical fallacies. I am downvoting you.

You're welcome.

AI for subtitles: You've been a long way but now you're cool

I gotta read that, maybe my mind was too uncultured to estimate the creativity of some people.

I also have autism, and, if, fortunately, i got a bit spared from thoses kind of people in my life, i can only try to sympathize with what you are going through by how i feel it.

You aren’t horrible, creepy, or disgusting. You lack self esteem. You are hypersensible, and have a lot of empathy, which are probably the most beautiful qualities one can have.

People around you, in their lives, were less worried about their surroundings, making it easier for them to socialise and forget people. They would naturally have a good self esteem.

Some people like thoses girls, lack self esteem AND empathy, so instead of reassuring themselves by trying to become better, they will find comfort in controlling others.

You are a goldmine for them. You are the type of profile that is out of the norm, so it is easier for them to isolate you and getting the rest of the world on their side. They are obsessed with you because it is much harder for them to live without you, without their feeling of control.

Frankly speaking, i would recommend you to see a psychologist or something, because internet is a place where kindness and hatred are neighbors, and some answers can just make it worse (i hope this one is not among them)

About what you said on the situation, honestly, if school is taking action, i think this is probably good. You shouldn’t be afraid of not following bully threats. The most effective rumors are the ones with some deformed truth behind them. A straight lie won’t go very far nor last very long.

If they hate you, if you deceived them, this is probably in your interest, because it’s way easier for them to change target than to keep a thing they lose control on. Though, by the others descriptions you made of theses women, i still recommend you take a school and social media break afterwards. Talking about it with cops was a good thing.

I hope this comment will be helpful, and i am sorry if i got false assumptions about your situation. I wish for you that things get better, and that you will have a nice day.

It’s hard to even realise that this is real. I mean... is it real?

That’s something i think not even the most deranged dystopian writer would have imagined.

This is a very interesting channel, and it approaches lots of my questions, thank you!

It’s a bit of a nitpick, but I’m not sure I’d use “flow” here. That makes it sound like it’s moving, while the Schwarzchild solution is actually static with respect to a properly chosen time coordinate (and without checking, probably the spinning and charged solutions as well). The spacetime is curved in such a way all timelike (c or slower) trajectories go inwards.

Oh that makes sense. I though it was space time itself which was moving, bringing with it the objects on it. (probably had seen some illustration representing it like that)

But yes the gravitational waves take is interesting, it burn my mind trying to imagine how to "trap" spacetime in itself.

I clarify my question: beyond the event horizon of a black hole, according to general relativity, the space-time flows faster than the speed of light. If it is the case, then, no information can be transmitted from here.

But then, if i drop an apple, say, in the black hole.

The black hole would then gain mass, and i could theorically mesure that gain with the event horizon radius variation and the attraction, meaning that the information of its mass and attraction change went from the center to get out of the event horizon.

In other words, that gravity information would have been faster than light?

How is that possible and where did i not understand something? (Just daydreamed about this stuff so maybe my question in itself is idiotic, sorry physicists)

theory: f(x) = x

practice: f(x) = -8 + 16/(1+e^-10x)

Maybe it’s just mine but can we agree that a lot of showers do that?

Y'a pas l'air d'y avoir grand monde sur c'te commu, mais je viens quand même poser un ptit salut françophone et oïl :)

Doesn't seem to be lotta people here, but i'm still coming to give a lil oïl and french speaking salute here :)

It can look dumb, but I always had this question as a kid, what physical principles would prevent this?

Hello touhou enjoyers, Are we planning something to the coming canvas event at toast.ooo? It will be a quarter of the size of its precedent iteration and welcome all the fediverse, wich will probably lead to some competition between arts. I already prepared this template for it, help is welcome if you feel interested. If any suggestion on the pixel art, lemme know it.

Characters: Reimu Hakurei, Cirno (fumo)
