Very cute! The very small size of the canvas is limiting the possibilities, so i tried to do something reconisable, without contraining others communities. Thank you for the help.

from what i know, the kanji for "insect" is a fundamental radical itself, but if you really want a mnemotechnic, i'd say that 口 is the insect mouth biting an arm ム (not the real meaning of that but it kinda looks like an arm)

I used a palette with less colours to make the template, but the beige-orange was my intended colour. And about the expansion to the left, that was to minimise the amount of white between art. I'm just playing with the eyes.
