Naja es wurde halt das gesamte Spiel von Grund auf nachgebaut in neuer engine. Nicht einfach nur source.exe durch source2.exe ersetzt. Das movement ist etwas anders, Manche Mechaniken wie smokes funktionieren deutlich anders, alles wurde optisch verbessert. Klar bei einen Casual Shooter wäre sowas nicht der Rede wert, aber CS ist nun Mal ein E-Sport und so riesige Änderung werden die komplette Meta verändern.
