While the official details of the agreement have not been released, reports show significant gains for the workers.
This is sadly not true. What they won is not that great. One hour before flight being paid at 50%, which it’s not enough. They got the inflation in their salaries but let’s face it this is not enough to survive in Toronto or Vancouver and forget climbing the economic ladder. Yes if you’re starting you’re paying a little more better.
After the workers fight back at 107 and « won », don’t forget that this law is contested by rail workers and postal workers in the highest court, their national union drop them and cry that they won. Now the union big head are forcing them to sign what scrap AC is giving them (6h after the imposition of the 107 AC came back with an offer) against the will of most of the flight attendants, their arguments being : if we choose to continue will have to renegotiate all we won! Which is bullshit.
What we’re seeing here is complacent union head that have used employees for political gain and are now throwing them under the bridge
Hahahahaha!
