You have provided a descriptive statement. Descriptive statements should come with scientific evidence. What evidence do you have to support your orchestra analogy? Or is it just your hypothesis?

Spoiler alert: It is just your hypothesis, as you would've won a Nobel had you managed to generate evidence explaining consciousness in further detail.

Many like to point at the Chinese room experiment to show how LLMs imitate consciousness rather than being conscious. They however forget, that our brains are Chinese rooms too in this regard, in that they learn how to provide the best responses to external stimuli while remaining blackboxes (at least for current tech).

Here are two instances of investigative journalism into Xinjiang by Vice. If the Chinese had nothing to hide, why the hostility towards journalists? Why are they being followed by CCP agents? Or is Vice far right too now?

There are countless interviews of Uighur Muslims who fled the area detailing their experiences there. Kids are being separated from the parents to be put in "Kindergartens" (the Chinese version of Canadian residential schools).

As for the Muslim countries- do you really think undemocratic monarchies/ dictators give two shits about their fellow Muslims? The slave labor that has built the UAE and Saudi Arabia's infrastructure involves Pakistanis and Bangladeshis, who are all Muslim. Or is slave labor in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar evil western propaganda too?

Interesting, although I don't see how this fits the scope of this community -"technology". This could be more of some science community post, no?

Wasn't he the one to come out in support of homosexuality? Or was it just to justify the morality behind diddling little boys?

  1. Don't feel bad for using motorized vehicles, be it a car or a motorcycle. Do what is the most you can do personally. Of course, if you're one of those big truck ppl then u'r a problem. Unfortunately, we don't have infrastructure suitable for non motorized vehicles everywhere. Shifting the blame from governments to individuals in this case is comparable to the individual carbon footprint bs.
  2. While motorcycles are much better than cars, they're still bad. They cause air and sound pollution. Because of their ability to go higher speeds, they make cities unsafe for pedestrians and bicyclists (basically humans). Essentially, they do all the bad things that cars do, but just with a lower magnitude.
