I'm not looking forward to the day that Colorado loses Kyle but I am certainly looking forward to the day that he gets to moderate a presidential debate. Kyle is amazing.

I think they are clarifying due to what has happened with Ubisoft. They're also using it as an opportunity to spread the word farther that they won't do the same thing.

Why do they say "could" at this point? The operative word here is "will". Using "could" downplay the severity of this and, even if only slightly, lowers the likelihood that people who are in danger will evacuate. Using "could" is irresponsible at this point.

Can you recommend some models to try?

How about we steer toward better data privacy in general? Cars are collecting way too much data about us? So is everything else! We need sweeping legislation to claw back our privacy. We need a constitutional amendment guaranteeing a right to privacy.

I could easily imagine her as either conservative or liberal or somewhere in between or somewhere outside of that whole spectrum. I can't imagine that she is a Trumper.

I expect that her reason for not sharing her political beliefs is at least somewhat selfish. She has fans across the political spectrum, different segments of whom would certainly be upset by any political position she espoused. It could even be that she's concerned about fans being angry and violent depending on what her views actually are.

Regardless, the fact that she doesn't use her popularity to influence politics makes me respect her all the more. I my opinion, it's both a smart decision for her, personally, and shows moral character.

It's pretty amazing to me that a company hasanagednto become so reviled that Walmart is the better and more ethical option.

I need to find an emulated version of this. Mine was faulty and always glitches as soon as you finished this stage so I never got to see neyond it for more than a few seconds. I've always wondered what was there!

In a town where I used to live there was a row of businesses that went CasketMart > Mortuary & Crematorium > Sausage Shop. Never went to any of them.

For profit prisons need to be made unconstitutional. If someone is dangerous enough to be in prison, that cost should be borne by the state/federal government. This would reduce the incentive to keep people in prison and would likely lead to some justice system reform.

The fact that prisons literally profit off of the work of their inmates means the prisons have every incentive to tarnish their I mate's records to keep them in prison as long as possible. This system is also as ripe as can be for corruption.

My first thought was to quickly go search to make sure mine is no longer searchable. That thing had some embarrassing stuff on it...

I'm a white guy from a fairly non-diverse city. I was at a grocery store today where a cashier opened up their line to serve me and, I thought, the person behind me. As they were serving me, though, they put up their lane closed sign right in front of the black man behind me. The buy was just trying to purchase some tuna, bread, and peanut butter.

The cashier basically decided to serve me, a middle class white man, but refused to serve the black man behind me. I was so shocked that I didn't say anything. It is possible that I misunderstood the situation but it seemed so blatant.

What should I have done in this situation? Should I have spoken up? Would that have just been more embarrassing for the man who was being discriminated against?

Honestly, I'm still just in shock to see someone treated so poorly when they were simply trying to buy food for themselves. I recognize that means that I'm sheltered but I also feel like I should be able to use my unearned privilege to help others who are being discriminated against.

I keep running into issues where I'm unsure of which account I'm currently using. It would be nice if it were more obvious at all times. Two things that would help me are:

  • always display the current user somewhere, regardless of what content is being viewed.
  • allow setting different color themes for different users.

I got lucky and this guy posed for me for about five minutes. I tried to get some in flight, but they're simply too fast for me!
