Presentation and gender identity does not need to match up! And some people struggle to present in certain ways. The safest bet is always to respect what you are told

Reminds me of this: https://melmagazine.com/en-us/story/hatpin-panic-1900s

In that's it's men restricting our rights to defend ourselves

Edit: sort of :P This meme is only vaguely related I just find the hairpin thing very fascinating as a historical event

There's a lemmy (lemmy.blahaj.zone), a piefed (piefed.blahaj.zone), a sharkey (blahaj.zone), a peertube (tube.blahaj.zone), a pixelfed (pix.blahaj.zone), and finally a matrix server (ttps://chat.blahaj.zone/c/genderverse/)

Those are the ones I know at least

I'm a trans woman and was not aware when I got diagnosed, but during that process we went through an ADHD mastery course and most participants were women. The course itself covered early on how women are often diagnosed later in life because

  • Women are often better at masking
  • Women tend to be the inattentive kind of ADHD, which does not fit the stereotype and therefore is less often detected
  • Women are likely more often the inattentive kind because of how we are raised

I discovered I was trans during the process and learning most women have my kind of ADHD was very affirming <3 Ofc, women can have both kinds of ADHD, but for irrational reasons it was still nice to learn
