The biggest new feature in Archinstall 3.0 is a revamped text-mode user interface (TUI) that now uses the Curses terminal control library, which allows for more complex layouts and a new but familiar look and feel of the menu-based interface.

As you can see from the screenshot above, the new Curses-based interface now opens each main setting of the installer in a side panel rather than a separate page from the user needs to navigate back to the main menu. This should make the installation a lot easier for Arch Linux newcomers.

…Unlike the Raspberry Pi computer, the Pico is a microcontroller. Mostly this means it's not running an operating system and instead can run simple code. They are also typically less powerful with only 256kb of RAM instead of Gigabytes for the bigger brother, and have a lower clock speed.

However, this also means the controller starts immediately running your code upon power up, and it does not have to share resources to maintain an underlying system. This results in low power consumption, making them appropriate for battery-powered use cases.

After blinking a few coloured LEDs, we found that we could use potentiometers to control how much electricity would go through the circuit. We could then read this value from a screen. With some tinkering, we made a calculator which would multiply two numbers which are set using the potentiometer…

Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism's Unholy War on Democracy is a 2024 American documentary film directed by Stephen Ujlaki and Chris Jones. The film explores the rise of Christian nationalism in the United States and its opposition to American democracy, and the historic role of Christian nationalists in the conservative movement, beginning with Paul Weyrich and Jerry Falwell in the Moral Majority, and Weyrich's creation of the secretive Council for National Policy. They opposed secular and democratic institutions, supported using government to promote Christianity, and much later, their political influence led to the support for the candidacy of Donald Trump, the subsequent January 6 United States Capitol attack, and the policy blueprints for Project 2025.[2]

I’ve backed Impact! Miniatures before and it’s always been great.

I really like that odd-numbered dice even exist. It sounds like a what-if that was taken too far. And it turned out great.

What about a unique way to show curses and disadvantages to your players. Impact!'s cursed dice allow you to give your players a unique die to use for the session to show the effect of their misguided actions. A D19 to show a curse that prevents criticals and natural 20s. Along with several other different dice to disadvantage rolls in many creative ways.

These dice were designed to be as fair as possible for an odd sided die. All the sides are equal sized and equal distant from the center mass. Each die was created by a specialist trained in working with geometeric design.

These odd dice are all new molds and modified designs by Impact! We've learned from our attempts to make odd sided dice in the past and these dice are brand new designs to make sure the dice stop faster by being larger and designed to have better defined stopping surfaces. The new designs are also easier to read with larger fonts and better extras to show you the top value being rolled.

I saw one show in the middle of the road, so I moved it to the curb. I walked a bit further and found the other shoe on the side of the road. When I came back through the second shoe was still there, so I carried it to back to be reunited with the first. No clue if their owner ever found them. They must have been on someone’s car and fell off at different times. Both were near curves in the road.

I see more and more posts that are just a link to a video, post, or article. There’s no text in the description.

I’d like to see some of the article quoted and/or a brief reason this is currently being posted to Lemmy.

When it’s just a link, the cynical part of me thinks it’s just an SEO bot—especially if the account never posts any comments.

What are some ways to encourage posts that are more engaging?

Or should I just ignore, downvote, and/or block those doing this kind of posting?
