I'm with you there. A couple winters ago I was a delivery person, I dropped a package on someone's porch and I heard a little meow. Couple seconds later this little furball was climbing up my pant leg.

I knocked on the door to talk to the homeowner who said his mother had been hit by a car, and she had a cantankerous dog so she couldn't take care of him. So I took him

I feel extremely responsible for my cat. He's not like an "accessory" he's something I made a commitment to saving and is dependent on me

Yoo check out my other comment. I play a brown noise through a subwoofer (no speakers) under my bed. It sounds exactly like the warp engines

Not too weird, but I found this accidentally: a subwoofer under my bed (the speakers that came with it broke)

I found a ten hour long brown noise mp3 that is set to loop indefinitely on an old burner phone. Through the subwoofer it sounds exactly like the warp engines from Star Trek TNG. Incredibly comforting, and hard to sleep without

My computer wasn't booting properly for a month or two, I think it was saying boot drive not found or something. It would work if I went into boot options and picked my main drive.

The cause? I used the Blu Ray drive for the first time in years, and for some dumb reason, that was listed higher in the boot options. My computer was trying to boot into a Blu Ray of Blade Runner

Hah dude I've been using i3 for years, and same. Like maybe 30% of the time. And half the time the background image is wonky when I start it up. Super+shift+r fixes it every time though, so fuck it

You're not wrong, and I'm upvoting everything you say because I hate the smug SO people who ask why instead of actually trying to help.

But in this specific case, there's literally no reason to use OpenOffice, it's discontinued. People shouldn't have to explain how to use a defunct software with an addendum.

It's not an obscure programming language with an edge case, it's a word processor.

Hah oh shit. I'm a reddit refugee, seeing you feels like seeing like a local celebrity. Thanks for modding that sub, I was there a lot

Jesus I've been using Linux for years and your comment just made this really click for me. Do you think Linus is protected by governments and stuff? Like I know he didn't make all of it, and there's lots of forks, but he's defacto in charge... That's gotta be a lot of soft power

Check out an app called Parallel Space. I used it once to have two accounts in a game ages ago. It's been a while so I don't know how it's going now, but it worked pretty well when I used it
