Gotcha! I think tressless could still be a good resource then, but from what I recall it’s mostly men.

My mom and sister have both started using minox and have started to see some positive results, but I’m not sure of the biological process that would cause follicle dormancy/death in females, so I’m not sure what results you could expect. Also to note, minoxidil can cause some shedding at first, so your hair will look thinner for a few months until it starts to regrow more.

I am not a doctor, but have had some results using minoxidil and Foligain’s Minox&Triox spray. As was pointed out in the other comment, hair follicles will start to die as you age (assuming you’re male) this is caused by DHT which is a result of testosterone breaking down. First the follicle goes dormant, and then dies. Depending on how advanced your thinning is, you can likely reactivate and save between few and most of the follicles. I hate recommending Reddit, but r/tressless is a good resource, but they pass around a lot of lingo so be prepared for that.

I moved from the US (MI) to France and then Spain, but am living with my parents while looking for jobs here, so a bit of a different situation regarding most of your questions, but I’ve helped some people move across the US so I have some experience there! If you have a car with a hitch, you can fairly cheaply rent a moving trailer from UHaul or something similar. That should apply to the US (and Canada I would think). Renting their vans tends to be quite expensive, and shipping is outrageous now, so that’s probably your best bet. Generally, if it will cost more to transport it then it would cost to replace it, it isn’t worth taking with you (this applies more towards shipping).

Haven’t been on the west coast of the US much, so I have no idea what or where to recommend for that, but I know it can be very expensive. I’ve heard Northern California can be relatively affordable, but no experience there. I doubt this was of much help, but I wish you the best in reaching a place where you’ll be happier!

IMO, go for jades. The tired finger complaints are not made up. I tried a friend’s navy board once because it sounded really good, but it was definitely too much for mid to long typing sessions.

Wait until you go to jades, or even navy! SO CLICKY

For blocking ads it works ok, I’ve found it doesn’t work well for AppleTV apps as all the ads are seemingly baked into the video streams. But VPNs are better for accessing geo-restricted content, which previously was very difficult on the AppleTV. So a pi-hole is quite a different use case.

I even find the Switch a bit too cumbersome for transit use! The PSP was the perfect size for me, but a modern version would be too underpowered for everything nowadays I guess.

Exactly but I think it’s opposite. The top kept spinning, seemingly endlessly, which wouldn’t happen in real life.

Ah! Yes these are horrible!! I’d dare say they’re worse than no bike parking at all.

What are the “dish drainer” style parking racks?

Hopefully Tesla folds, but I know Musk can be vindictive…

Not OP, but I use Orion browser which lets you use some 3rd party extensions. Also I’m pretty sure Firefox does too. These are all based on WebKit though, so uBlock Origin doesn’t behave as well as the full fledged desktop versions imo.
