Thanks for responding to my post! It’s just that, I come from an immigrant background and I never really had the chance to date tbh. It’s just my thinking is that the longer it’ll take to find someone the more likely I’ll be seen as a walking red flag. Sure I’ll hopefully be in a good position career wise, great social life but never having had dated anyone isn’t a good look. It’s just in my experience a lot of people brushed me off cause of that so it just makes me feel trapped I guess. That’s why I felt that it’ll be too late.

There is another thing I want to mention is like how do people find dates? I don’t wanna sound like I’m whining or anything but dating apps never worked for me so I was wondering like how do you meet your potential dates in-person like at bars? Sorry if it sounds dumb but I’ve had a hard time with that so I thought why don’t I would just genuinely ask about it?

You can! There is a RSS logo you can click on when you’re on the desktop version on Lemmy.

For me, I check reddit like once or twice in a day where I just check what on popular and on r/all for like 5 minutes on my desktop. Also to checkout r/OMSCS and that's about it. Lemmy is where I am at most of the time now lol. I used use the official app and its so garbage but it was so addicting for me to use before the Apollo drama. Now that addiction isn't quite there anymore and Lemmy hasn't been super addicting for me and I like this feeling a lot.

Let’s hope this fight goes on for a long time and neither of them touch Mastodon and the rest of the Fediverse

Reddit unironically gives me 1984 as it’s about to get worse from here on out.

I clicked that link and thank God the server didn't respond. I was actually thinking that someone made the link to newcomers on July 1st not the stuff of nightmares that still haunts me to this day

I think that's cause r/kbinmigration got banned and they got moved to r/lemmymigration, the support is more so supporting both while sympathizing how kbin's subreddit got banned which i think could be why there isn't that many posts of supporting lemmy

I think you might find that answer through lemmy's github and using their guides which I'll send it here in case anyone else is interested.

Personally think it would be more reasonable to have rust at this instance. https://programming.dev/c/rust

I hope the devs might make a pin at a directory of communities they can join like a unified directory of all instances and in those instances, the communities they have. I think that way rather than seeing the most popular instances, users would join those communities from their instance however the popularity of such an instance and community can sometimes act identifier for making decisions which instance they would join in also which community. So idk like maybe having a directory by interest might help others to encourage to join those communities from their home instance rather than registering as new user at every instance.
