White people said it’s racist to call Indians Indians, but Indians said they don’t want to be called ‘Native Americans’, so we call them Indians again.

By „we” I mean you. To Germans they’ve always been Indians.

It would be nice if they actually taught you something useful in that degree. I say that as a B.Sc.

I didn’t expect sparkling rainbows, but I saw literally nothing. Just a regular starry night. :(

What was the time when you took that image? I was out yesterday at 22:00 UTC, but didn’t see anything, despite good weather conditions. I’m wondering if I was too early.

When did you take this image? I was out yesterday at 22:00 UTC (in the dead of night here) and didn’t see jack shit. I wonder if I was too early.

Old people without glasses, maybe?

Remember that it is always half of Earth that gets sunlight. This illustrates how much of the Pacific is missing in this projection.

Guess what happens when you introduce a third party that benefits from higher incarceration numbers…

Of those three I can only comment on Umbridge. I think the point with her was that she seemed “pink”, but wasn’t.

It takes trust to give all your password to a piece of software. With all the leaks on the news can you blame them? For people with multiple devices an offline password manager is unwieldy. And self-hosting an online password manager is beyond the capabilities of most.

So… they killed other people’s children?

I’m looking for an amateur (≤ €500) digital camera for my dad. The main issue I’d like to alleviate is the slow autofocus on his current one. On his (and my very old, very cheap camera), the autofocus takes about a second, sometimes even more to find the right focal length. He laments that he’s unable to take a quick snapshot of a fleeting moment due to this.

I initially hoped I would find some metrics on this in cameras’ technical specifications. But so far, none have turned up. Guides often critique or praise the autofocus feature, but don’t provide a sense of how quickly the lenses adjust, either.

This leads me to these questions I now put to you to judge: Am I naive to expect a single number to adequately represent the amount of time the autofocus needs to focus? What contributing factors would render such a metric irrepresentative, if it existed?
