"it was the best of times, it was the blurst of times"

This year's NOBO start season is coming up! Anyone planning to thru hike this year? Section hike? SOBO? Flip?

If so, do you have a blog so the rest of us can hike along vicariously?

Is there an official way to request a feature? All I can find is places to submit bug reports.

It would be nice, on mobile, if the map would rotate when the phone is upside down (charging port on top). In rental cars, this is how I'll put my phone in, so I can plug it in and don't run out of battery while driving.

Or even a plane. Let someone else monitor the autopilot for you.

I made one with an R-pi and hard drive with Open Media Vault. It was pretty easy to set up, and I haven't had any trouble with it. Only one disk so far, since I don't have that much stuff.

6/19/2013 I climbed up Katahdin with my parents, who had driven me to Baxter, took all the required summit photos, then started walking south. Only went as far as the campground where the car was, but my thru hike had started. About 5 months later I stood on the summit of Springer Mountain.

Does anyone have a digital piano they'd recommend?

I've been missing playing since I moved to my current place, and would like to get back into it. I'd rather spend a few extra bucks now and get a nice one that will last.

Hopefully everyone on the trail is aware of this site already, but notices about the trail from the ATC can be found at https://appalachiantrail.org/trail-updates/

Just more confirmation that running away from reddit was the right choice. We all owe the developers of the fediverse for have all these platforms and welcoming everyone.

Anyone get stuck in the bad smoke while on the trail? Hopefully the AT doesn't become like the PCT and catch fire.

I've been using Fedora for over a year instead of windows, I'm happy with it. It's stable, easy to install the software I want, looks good. I'd say go for it!

Sometimes I think about distro hopping, but I think I'd rather do that on a second computer so that when I break it I'll still have a working one.
