Our business does electronic assembly and sells the products online and sells web services. We get UPS and FedEx and USPS, and have a serviceable internet connection.
Google wants even more than billions of dollars in ad revenue but can't or won't properly curate their ads. If you're too big to control your content then you're too big as a company. But I suspect they just don't want to pay people to curate the ads.

I turned off voicemail years ago. Spam, hangups, long rambling calls with no useful details, long rambling calls for the wrong business. Our phone just plays a "Sorry we missed you" message, lists the hours and encourages them to send an email.
I think generally the less flashy features (pun intended) the better. Text and links (and well sanitized) is all we need.
Yes, once a company is a certain size it has too much power to exploit and do a crappy job of customer service while they do it.
No killing them is too extreme. Put them in a room with 1,000 different types of ringing telephones for a week.
