Woof. Yeah I forgot to mention I'm also trying to cut back on added sugars just to play it safe after reading The Case Against Sugar and having two diabetics in the family.

The only gluten-free, dairy free, sugar-free thing I can reliably make is a tofu scramble; and the only cereal-like thing that comes close is "Scottish Oatmeal" or just gluten-free oatmeal. What to eat when I'm in a rush and headed out the door? Still working on that one.

I'm a sucker for good audio productions; my attention span is too garbage for just a normal audiobook. All of the ones directed by Dirk Maggs I find really engaging.

I had a good, solid, vegetarian recipe book for a long time.

Then my spouse became lactose intolerant and my doc said to consider avoiding gluten so as to not trigger the celiac’s I’m susceptible to developing from my genes.

Know how hard it is to find easy-to-make, accessible, gluten-free, near-vegan recipes that aren’t just stir fries and soups? HARD.

Sorry, too much? What if I drown one spouse in the other’s blood while eating the child’s skin?

Not to be dramatic but I would drown someone in their child’s blood while eating their spouse’s skin for that animal.

I remember hearing that nuclear war would be senseless because then you have no leftover resources to salvage and plunder from the country you “won” against….

…but some of the idiots we have in leadership rn haven’t got much sense in ‘em, so… uh, yeah.

Find a cause to die for and make that your retirement plan.

I’d be ok being under the rule of an open source AI— not today’s AI, but like, at this point I’d trust a robot more than I’d trust a human in leadership.

According to current state law, a plaintiff shall not recover damages from a news organization unless a correction/retraction is demanded but not provided. The bill changes “shall not” to “may not.” So, if passed, plaintiffs would retain the ability to recover damages even if a correction/retraction is issued.

The bill also requires any offending material to be immediately scrubbed from the news outlet’s digital archives.

Advocates and new elected officials are figuring out how to handle public testimony on legislation inside City Hall. That debate is overshadowing the policymaking itself.

Fun fact: the local ICE office has a Tesla dealership right next to it.

Cool, another app I won’t download and will look sideways at whoever does.

If I see its userbase consists of gen z and younger I will be very disappointed.
