Canadian Taxpayer Federation is usually a front to Conservative activists. On election year, paint me surprised, but they did come out swingin' to blame non Conservatives for every ill out there.

while we do need competition and variety on the market, electronics with Chinese origin raise serious concerns though. given China's present political trajectory it's not too far fetched to assume that vehicles will have remote backdoors that could be used for remote control of a vehicle. So unless those are "dumb" vehicles (which is highly unlikely) this is unlikely to be a good thing in a long run

I agree with cause and effect argument. I'm dealing more with present situation as-is. You have (indirectly) confirmed that it's in Hamas' interest to keep conflict alive to exist as an entity. (Note: I did not disregard points on Israel being the oppressor)

that's not what we're hearing from Harris. She'll be dancing on a tight rope, but she clearly signaled that Israel has crossed the line. Lets see what are the consequences.

he tries to walk in Zelensky's footsteps but fails on so many fronts: while Ukraine was the victim of oppression, Israel state is the source of it, ICC issued warrant for Putin and.. Netanyahu (it's interesting how US chose to ignore court order).

Hamas and Israel state work towards the same goal - maintain instability for their personal gain. Anybody glorifying Hamas is either stupidd or naive, so are people glorifying Israely army. To be solved this conflict requires new powers to arise on both sides that are ready for dialog and tired of fighting and able to sidestep existing powrr structures (or demolish them).

funny thing but if you look closely the most positive that have been done lately was coming from NDP and kindly forced onto Liberals. So i reality NDP doesn't need to win (like everyone said - populous is color blind to orange) they need another minority where they hold balance of power in their hands. So I wouldn't write off Singh as he properly played his cards so far. Yeah, he's not Jack but he did put policies forward and got them in through Libs. It must be residual US thing where Social Democrats == Commies == enemies of the state

We can go back to "reforms" Harper government done like muzzling scientists and defunding projects serving public interest. Of course those same people would want to defund the only outlet not in their pockets. I haven't seen a single point on Conservative agenda that is not going to harm average person short or long term. yet people still vote them in and Liberals behaving like entitled pricks do not make situation any better. Even NDP has shifted to the right. There's no federal party with representation in Parliament that has workers as a central point of their agenda. Everything is now about business which is very much not the same

This article's question reminded me of and old and dark joke: when "power user" comes to the grizzled sysadmin with a printout of his very first program and asks "sir, can you see where the error is" to which grizzled sysadmin replied "in DNA" without ever looking away from his screen. Same here.. problem is in DNA of conservatism. They are attached to material stuff thus with each iteration removing themselves further from humanity. It's i escapable for them to end up here.

like in definition of insanity: making the same mistake over and over expecting different outcomes? Yeah by that definition US left is insane.

fighting or not they have all lined up behind POTUS45 even if previously they criticized him etc. At the time when left is dilly-dallying and builds up "resistance centers". Look, all the pro-Gazan declarations with conditional support for Biden is a waste of air as as soon as POTUS45 will grab his POTUS47 title it's game over and they will have no recourse, and more likely than not public protests will get slowly outlawed. Look North of the border for examples of how it's done (Alberta, Canada)... so no matter what they do nothing is going to change now the only differentiator is that Biden may listen whereas POTUS45 absolutely will not.

novel idea: do not allow to list party affiliations, only election platform. Those would be some very interesting results
