Q: So does ICANN have its own Doman Name Server (for those who dont know: list of domain and IPs, like a phone catalog) that the other commercial DNS' (like local ISPs and Google DNS and cloudflare DNS) is connected directly to?
Yeah, but I almost always end up using the !g bang anyway. And its so stuck in my fingers that I sometimes mistakenly write !g wen searchphrase when I want to search on wikipedia. Im cursed.
I too started on C64! Though in my case it was as late as '92 when a seven year young kid got an already old C64 with cassette player, a manual, and no games. Sometimes one gotta make ones own fun, literally.
Updated UI? Good. I went with emClient because Thunderbirds UI was so darn outdated looking. Also because the calendar and contacts plugins worked badly with gmail, resetting birthday dates and stuff.

Thats what I thought before. Also what I thought about the US President. Theres supposed to be policies and paper and some kind of sane middlemen between the crazy top people and the company or country. That in the end the boards or parties would at least steer it in the relatively profitable direction despite a crazy guy at the helm.

What kind of dev don't I do? At work we are building a webapp for making exercise programs. I'm working with C# and VB (both .net framework and .net 7), Typescript (frontend), Javascript (EmberJs mostly), some PHP (our old CRM system), Azure and MySQL administration, Azure VM Windows and Linux administration, and devops. So very much fullstack. Its a small company so it used to be only me and the CTO doing dev. Luckily we've gotten more good developers the last few years and now we're 7 devs.
Private I'm doing powershell stuff. Sometimes typescript stuff. I used to do a bit of gamedev but not much anymore.
