"Money I got, time I don't."

My dad said this offhanded joking remark to me 30 years ago and it lives rent free in my head. It's a privileged view point for sure but I took it to mean save and be prepared but don't be frugal toa detriment. Spend on things you love and spend away on things you hate. Don't waste time if you can afford not to.

This is too easy to hit on accident. If your phone freezes and you try to turn on the screen too many times in rapid succession - boom 911

I hope it comes to the pixel phones soon. Though I enjoy wunderground it would be nice if that weather widget was more helpful.

It was like 92 or 93 and my dad brought home a computer and didn't know what it could be used for so they just let 7 year old me mess around on it. My year older cousin told me that we could use it to talk to him using instant messaging. When I showed my parents they were blown away.

Also when I realized the computer they bought had bundled with it DOOM. That was great!

Jrock, specifically The Pillows, which lead to dozens of other jrock band discoveries. I don't listen to it much anymore but it defined me and my friends from the years 16-26

Just using firefox android's Add Site To Homepage button for lemmy has worked pretty well for me. i have jeroba but i like the web app a little better. i am open to trying newer lemmy apps as they come out though.

plus it felt like a lot of stuff got curated and posted by super users around the big subreddits. it felt like there were like the same 20 peoples posts getting most of the attention. at least here theres the potential for more diverse view points and posts from different instances.
