I've just been to Berlin last week. There are barely any cars in central Berlin anyway. Whatever they do it's already working without the need for a special regulation (and associated problems of trying to legislate everyday behavior).
They do lack pedestrian streets, but that's not the issue here.

I'm afraid this move will just be seen as politically antagonistic without any real benefits.

For non-experts it generally falls into the "gay stuff".

(if you can explain the difference between sex and gender you're an expert)

Yes but he did it the wrong way South America -> Polynesia.

Turns out it actually happened the other way around Asia -> Polynesia -> South America. Most likely, still a lot to be determined.

Giving sone Last Starfighter vibes. You're good at playing games? And you can do a short sprint if needed? Off to the military with you, you're going to be flying drones remotely. The running is there for when Ukrainians figure out your location.

There are even more versions:

Colombia
Columbia
Colón
Colombo
Columbus
Colomb
Colom

Places were usually named by settlers according to the rules of their own language. Columbus is the Latin variant, Colón is Spanish, Colombo Italian.

Back in 15th-16th century translating personal names was common. The practice is still continues with monarchs today, see popes - John Paul ll was also Iohannes Paulus, Juan Pablo, Ivan Pavao ...

I guess when buying 11000 rats you are somewhat constrained in your choice of color. It's not like you can order them made in a custom color.

A couple of years old, but in the early days they didn't care about sanitizing non-English content. Leading to pearls like this:

Oh, didn't know about the meme, thanks

The comment is not out of place. In many jurisdictions, a "child" is under 14, while 14-18 is a "young adult" or "adolescent"

PhD overproduction (and subsequently devaluation) is a real thing. The intention of PhDs was to reward and recognize major original contributions to a specific field of science. It turned into another academic "level" that you have to grind towards by producing a large quantity of articles. Even before AI the academic slop was a real thing.

Like any word "feminism" is subject to fluctuating definitions. Historically, and currently on the academic level, feminism is indeed synonymous with anti-sexism.

However there is a wide range of people who use it to mean misandry. The gender wars narrative is becoming massive in the society.

The male side of it is widely spoken about, represented by Andrew Tate and such, but there is also a female side who unfortunately appropriated the name of feminism.

For a while I used Tiktok, and half of my feed was stuff like "men are useless emotionless parasites". I was definitely served that as algorithmic ragebait, but I wonder how many actually think like that.
