Also check out GMaps VW when OSM is not enough. You can use for Google maps without a Google account.
Why does fdroid say that it promotes or depends on non-free networkl service?
I get basically the same performance on OW2 with Lurtis and Garuda versus Windows. It's pretty much competitive now.
