Of course it was. If the party wasn't promoting garbage candidates, they wouldn't need to rely on such a thing to try to take your vote for granted because people would happily vote for candidates they think will actually help them.

Whoever you vote for will be ~~bribed~~ lobbied until they don't represent you anymore, assuming they weren't already compromised before even entering office.

Alright, time to start primarying if you're not totally full of shit, elon.

This post is based on a false premise. These people aren't unemployable, they're being actively rejected so that the available labor pool remains sizeable and desperate. The automation hype is just that, hype. Just like the gig economy, it's merely a way to devalue labor and exploit it while selling the idea as innovation. Some evidence: if automation was really going to make so many people unemployable, then why is the news freaking out over the declining birth rate? Surely if automation is going to take over so much work, we wouldn't have to worry about who will take care of the elderly.

Misread as fundoshi.

Probably because the products that are marketed most prominently as being vegan also charge a premium.

I think the saddest of all is when they roll ads for themselves. I'm already in your shitty theater, why are you advertising how "magical" your experience is? Just reeks of desperation and won't convince me to visit more frequently, there are many reasons why I very rarely go to AMC theaters and wasting my time advertising yourselves while I'm already there won't change my mind.

Prove to me that this isn’t exactly how the human mind – i.e., “real intelligence” – works.

For one, AI as it currently exists doesn't learn. The AI has to be trained with its weights adjusted in order to actually update its way of thinking. For another, memory is nothing more than prepending your prompt history to your next prompt, there is no actual mechanism of memory, just this hack.

Didn't the south join in the fight because Britain was in the process of legally abolishing slavery and they were afraid of this abolition applying to colonies?

How can you stand 30 minutes of work?

I think his endorsement still holds sway in his state of South Carolina, but thankfully it doesn't mean anything in New York.

Context: https://lemmy.world/comment/14613536 Screenshotted context just in case:

A user claims that the killing in Palestine stopped under Biden now. I point out that biden had full-throatedly supported the genocide for over a year. A mod deletes my post and says that biden didn't "state" (keyword here) full-throated support for genocide.

I counter by saying I consider sending billions in support of genocide counts as full-throated support for genocide. I also point out that I didn't say Biden stated his support for genocide and that he didn't need to outright state it because actions speak louder than words.

I receive a temp ban for that counter and the mod adds a response where they claim the weapons were "provided for defense from Iran, full stop." which sounds to me like actual misinformation because how the hell does bombing hospitals in Gaza defend Israel from Iran? I'm not bothered by their stupid opinion, but I am bothered that they are enforcing it through moderation.

I ran into a similar moderation problem on the Political Memes community also on .world, but I didn't bother making a post here for that because that's just a dumb meme community and I was better off just blocking it, but now this is concerning a world news community and it's awful to see something like this happening in a community that's supposed to keep people aware of the news.

But hey, maybe I'm wrong and it actually is misinformation to say it's full-throated support of genocide to send billions in weapons to a country using those weapons to commit genocide. Please let me know what you think!

Not entirely sure what this is, but it was revealed during the Jackbox collab on Calli's channel. Reveal on June 18th 8:00PM PDT apparently!
