The whole thing is FOSS. if the company goes over the community can still maintain it if they wish to

As a Linux user for a few years now I have to disagree. My friends who still rely on Windows only software for either school or their jobs use Revision OS and installs it with a tool called playbooks which takes only a few minutes and automatically disables feature updates; only allowing security updates to go through. This makes it so all "system updates" are through the playbook app which is pretty cool, it pretty much makes it a Windows fork and won't revert or break anything when updating

I literally only started hearing people say its a honeypot after that one cat pfp youtuber was reviewing its onion services when proton released it, which used https for the onion domain, which he said "is the same thing honeypots do" or whatever

Still SteamOS. I tried bazzite since I loved it on my previous desktop I had but it was super unstable on my deck , no clue why.

[–] helpmyusernamewontfi 1 points 1 month ago

I don't know why but bazzite for me was super unstable compared to holo os for my deck

I use it as my primary PC! It's such an awesome and stable Linux experience

Just got an amazing deal for these three and wondering where I should start!

If so, why? and how's your experience been?

I've seen a lot of posts here on Lemmy, specifically in the "fuck cars" communities as to how Electric Vehicles do pretty much nothing for the Climate, but I continue to see Climate activists everywhere try pushing so, so hard for Electric Vehicles.

Are they actually beneficial to the planet other than limiting exhaust, or is that it? or maybe exhaust is a way bigger problem?

Recently a game called "The Finals" has released and after their beta was over they stopped supporting Linux, and a lot of people are clearly pissed and have sparked a ton of debates within their Discord server but I constantly and constantly see an argument brought up by Windows users in the community saying that they dont want Linux support and argue that enabling Linux support is only going to add more cheaters into the game. (as its a pretty big problem right now even though they're using EAC.)

I don't believe it, I haven't seen any proof of it, but I wanted to ask you guys what your thoughts are on it. And, if you have some sort of source proving whether or not this is the case, please do share.
