Yeah...I don't know how you all feel about this, but I'd much rather talk to an actual person than to a sophisticated chat bot. That's not to discredit the actual (and potential) benefits of something like ChatGPT, but I doubt we will solve loneliness through the use of such technology.
Some positive news for a lot of Linux Mint users who have been complaining about the lack of Wayland support. However, as the blog post listed, it's only going to be experimental in the next major update of Version 21. Still, it'll be good to experience the change.
Also, very clever on the naming schemes used by the Debian and Mint teams for their stable and unstable releases.

I was asking a similar question a few months ago, and my search turned up Joplin. It's a free, open source app that works across multiple platforms and can sync data through a cloud service, either through Joplin's own cloud storage or through a third-party cloud storage like Dropbox.

I recommend Linux Mint. It comes with good default settings but is configurable. The Cinnamon DE is exactly like that of Windows, so you don't need a lot of effort to start using it. Mint comes with some pre-installed apps like Firefox and LibreOffice, but they may not be the latest versions, so you can purge them afterwards and reinstall through one of the package managers.
Speaking of which, Mint comes with APT and Flatpak as package managers, but Snap is disabled by default. You can enable it, if you want to.
Mint does not come with any gaming apps pre-installed, but Steam can be installed, and many games work on it, especially those that are verified to work on the Steam Deck. Lutris is another game app you can install, and that allows you access to other game platforms like Blizzard, but don't assume that all games will work perfectly through Lutris.

It's a great pity this game will be exclusive to the Switch. I have a Steam Deck and would like the game to be available through the Steam Store. I heard great things about it but didn't get a chance to play the original on the SNES.
Well, if Firefox does become unusable for you, then I don't think you would be at fault for switching to a Chromium-based browser, like Vivaldi. Usability is an important aspect to consider.
Have you considered using a Firefox fork, like LibreWolf?
