Jobs that “help” people or are considered “fun” aren’t considered real jobs and those don’t deserve real wages.

Especially if they’re predominately female employees.

Shit paying jobs have shit turnover, and that hurts the company. Most think of training costs, but there's more. Employers have to pay a certain amount into the state unemployment fund for a new employee. Flip that employee and the tax starts all over again. New employees strain everything from HR to IT, accounting and payroll.

I agree with your point but employers don’t give a fuck and factor that into the cost of doing business. I work in an industry with a ton of turnover and seasonal work. They could make a whole bunch of employees full time year round, but instead they’ll make them full time seasonal, skip out on paying benefits, fire and rehire them every six months and pay the unemployment penalties. And rather than hire Americans at fair wages, they’ll exploit our immigration system and import rich college students from abroad as part of a “cultural exchange” on J1 visas and work them six days a week for three months for peanuts undercutting local labor and as a feature of that visa they have to house them too, undercutting the housing market for locals as well. J1s can’t complain and can’t organize or they get kicked out of the country.

Literal depiction of boomers eating their offspring so they can take another fucking cruise on a norovirus infected monstrosity

Arguably it’s been going on since Nixon normalized relations with China, which led to the factories moving there for cheaper labor and the eventual hollowing out of the so called middle class in America.

It really took off in the 90s though with the passage of NAFTA and the establishment of the idea of globalization and neoliberalism aka “third way” thinking and the idea of the “end of history” (Francis Fukuyama) after the fall of the USSR. (He has since reneged on a lot of ideas that made him popular in the first place).

It most certainly has not been just a decade though. Any fair argument is gonna pin it on being the last 30-50 or so years.

It’s fair to revel in people in power dying of covid after denying covid restrictions, but it’s in poor taste for average people who’ve been brainwashed to think the way they do.

Far left: we want healthcare and fair wages

Far right: we want to genocide anyone who doesn’t like our version of fundamentalist “Christianity”

Yeah ok bud totally the fucking same

Antibiotics don’t do shit for viruses and shouldn’t be taken for cold, flu or covid unless you have underlying conditions that make you susceptible to a bacterial infection forming.

I had a bad reaction to the covid vaccines (the second shot of Pfizer, first was fine) and as a result havent had a single booster.

I got heart palpitations and my heart randomly races and I get lightheaded and dizzy. Ever since the vaccine. Didn’t get covid till 2022.

Both grandfathers died of heart attacks, father died of heart failure. I’m not fucking around with further covid vaccines when I can just get a milder form of covid from the wild.

For the record, other than the chickenpox vaccine (couldn’t prove my mother had it or chickenpox so it was too risky to her for me to get) I’m fully vaccinated. I don’t bother with the flu shot, everyone I know who’s gotten it gets the fucking flu from it and is down for the count for a solid week.

Small pox too. Milk maids were exposed to cow pox as part of the job and as a result were immune to small pox.

I stand by my wording. Liberals harp about a famine caused by multiple factors and completely ignore the genocide of natives and enslavement of Africans and their descendants caused directly by capitalism and its prototype.

Slavery is still legal thanks to the 13th amendment.

Flint Michigan has something to say about that, as does much of the strip mined and fracked Appalachian mountain region where you can light the water on fire straight from the tap.
