Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

-Jean-Paul Sartre

Replace ‘anti-semites’ with ‘right-wingers’, and there’s your answer

My brother in arms! lol

Was just having a conversation last week when the subject of roadside billboards came up, the other guy says to me that he reads every single one of them when he’s driving. I tell him when I look at billboards the only think I think about is how much fun it would be to cut them down and set them on fire. Dude looked at me like I had a dick growing out of my forehead.

Statistically speaking (and assuming you’re an American) you are an overweight 40-something hermaphrodite with some college education, who has 1.8 children and is going to die of congestive heart failure.

There are three kinds of untruth. Lies, damned lies, and statistics.

The name Ecuador Hat was already taken, presumably by a prog rock band with an aggressive legal team.

For the shame aspect you need look no further than religion. Shame is just another in a long line of social constructs designed to allow people who don’t produce anything of value to survive off the labor of those who do.

We started wearing clothes as we evolved to have less hair and expanded across the planet into more varied climates. It’s that simple.

Red states routinely get more money from the federal government than they contribute to it, almost without exception.

Ask the Japanese.

Interesting take, considering the first ships converted to be aircraft carriers were done by the British, and the first ships purpose-built to be aircraft carriers were built by Japan…

Yeah this data is bullshit lol. Or it’s looking exclusively at the city center and not the city as a whole
