it's my understanding that you won't make a full copy of everything. you'll only copy the communities that are added and you won't be copying the full history.
I'm unsure how far back it goes but it might be just the one day. i saw talk of changing it to go back as far as someone actually scrolled and pressed next but that was just an idea at this point.

I'm a teacher and i always tell my students to definitely don't ever go to LibGen where their textbook is likely available totally free and certainly don't return your textbook and i absolutely won't be using it myself either.
since there isn't any strong way to collect data or advertise it will always be an underdog compared to big business.
that being said, the fediverse could outlast a few mainstream networks and build lasting strength with that. I'm an ideal setting it could become a defacto network over time.

Of the nearly 1000 most of them are single victim, but about 100 are multi, with 2 being the second most common after singles at 83 so far.
