Have literally no idea

I think the joke is twofold. First of all, Microsoft pretty much has a monopoly on financial software with their excel, which shows that the entire global finances are in the hands of that crab.

The second joke, must be that they never bother updating the suite to the latest, and solely depend on 2013🤷

There are communities for reddit related content. Is it possible for you to post there next time for those of us who're trying to forget

I'm going to put up a TV soon, and being able to find advice about it on lemmy/kbin would be awesome

Working 9-to-5 is miserable. It only helps if the wolk you're doing is interesting.

For a child, school is usually not 'interesting'. Children shouldn't be subjected to misery.

P.s. Props to you for saying you're in the US, not just assuming it.

What's the value in an open sourced centralized service? Aren't you just looking for a free service?

It took me a moment to realize what happened. It's truly magnificent

Video description: This is why they say huskies are stubborn. They're very smart but they have low motivation to please their owners. Zeus loves playing in the water in the bathtub and wanted the water turned on. However it was time for his walk and he was just being stubborn because he wanted to play in the water.

Hello Feddit,

I'm trying to get my foot in the door of the moderating world, but with no luck this far. I aspire to make this a better place! If there's an enthusiastic community out there somewhere, that needs a helping hand from an enthusiastic moderator, then you can consider me.

That's all.

I can only find websites where you need a subscription or pay for each music sheet.

I and a single other student completed high-school without any registered absence, and we were generally considered suck-ups. AMA.

If that is what's precenting you from contributing, then it's a bad excuse. In my mind, contributing to FOSS outweighs a blackout from Microsoft

They aren't in serious need. The lemmy and lemmy-ui projects have 4-5 regular devs as I can see it. It's just only 2 people being listed. I believe they are also working on getting help managing lemmy.ml.

As I see it, neither of them spend their time on jerboa either, it has two other regular devs.

A lot of the issues that are created are either duplicates, unimportant or useless suggestions. But there are still some major design decisions that are being actively discussed.

Nutomic and dessalines are just the only paid full-time developers of the projects.

I've tried clicking everywhere on comments I receive in my inbox, but I can't reply directly, is this a bug?

Edit: nvm, this was apparently fixed in the latest release

Edit 2: You need to longpress them to make the toolbar appear. I must've done this by mistake

Many of the questions asked here are related to the latency at lemmy.ml or other big instances. I even asked such a question myself. Having a FAQ thread pinned would be a great help.

Not sure whether that is even possible though🤔

1

Follow up question, is it possible to create a community on a different instance? My instance doesn't support creating communities.

If no, is it a technical limitation?

3

I tried subscribing to !programmerhumor@lemmy.ml, but it just says 'pending subscription'. Is there a feature where moderators have to accept your subscription? or is this simply a loading message? (Refreshing does nothing)
