Tbh modern universities have become paper mills where the focus is on the number of papers you have published and not the quality. Global rankings are mostly determined by this and the quality of education & research has suffered. I don't doubt that the chinese papers at focus in this article are high quality, but we need to move away from judging universities based on #of published papers.

Seems that the children of colonisers kept the legacy of making up borders with no historical/cultural basis. I'm actually surprised the boundaries on the map aren't straight lines.
