Yeah, at least I can remember getting a phone call and looking at my phone and reading the caller ID. I don't think it comes up much though.

The fact that I read the caller ID and thought "oh yeah, that's my 4 year old daughter's lawyer" when I saw the name, that should have been a clue I was dreaming.

Oof, yeah that's a good point. My county has a decent one and I'm happy to support them, but I wouldn't pay for it if I was in your situation either.

Make sure to support your local news sources too. Lots of great suggestions here for staying up to date with national and world news, but your local newspapers serve a valuable role in keeping up to date on what local governments are doing in your communities, and holding them accountable.

I bet it'll be

"In this moment, I am euphoric. Not because of any phony god's blessing. But because, I am enlightened by my intelligence."

Yep, we could load a template to follow but it was just a lot of clicking pixels to change "FARTY" back to "PARTY," rinse, repeat.

I was really bummed about missing r/place, I had so much fun last time. Definitely going to add my efforts to the cause.

I agree, I think that a lot of people who are raised that way are afraid to question. Hell is a pretty terrifying consequence for those who believe there's even a possibility that it's true. So I think a lot of them are trying to go through the motions just to rest assured that if they call themselves Christians and followed certain rituals that they're safe.

Deciding I didn't believe in hell was the first step and the rest of my faith quickly unraveled after that.

A lot is probably just because of the sheer volume of people over there, whatever the interest was, there'd be plenty of people who were really into that thing. I miss subs like r/whatisthisthing and r/tipofmytongue that worked because just by exposing it to so many people, there was a good chance of coming across someone who was actually familiar with it already.

I've done something similar, if it's just to me then I have a rule to flag it with tomorrow's due date and I go through them the next morning. If it's only to me, that's one of the most obvious cases where I need to respond. I'm also working on resisting the impulse to check everything as soon as it comes in, and I turned off my email notifications so that's a big help too.

I haven't called in but I've gone to the live recording a couple of times and it's so fun! A lot of the ad libbing got cut when it aired. If you are ever in Chicago on a Thursday I'd recommend it.
