I also don't know much about this subject, but I found this introduction quite helpful: What Is the Python Global Interpreter Lock (GIL)?

Further down it does mention that currently you would use multiple processes (each one having its ownn GIL) to do this, but I guess this would allow you to use threads instead, if I understand it correctly

Jupiter Broadcasting has nice Linux and FOSS-related podcasts. Most recently with an episode about Red Hat and their decisions.

Yes, I just used it to send my first 'Anzeige' this week. Read our other comments here regarding how many cases are actually followed up, we don't really know.

But cities like Berlin seem to be somewhat positive

What version are you currently using?

I think the app is getting better with every update, and the latest version 0.0.35 is quite good.

Remember that the app is still in an development stage.

Here in Germany there are some initiatives to get cars out of bike lanes by simplifying the process of notifying the authorities.

weg.li offers such a service by allowing you to upload pictures, time and place, and it will do the rest for you. It requires you to leave your name and contact details, since the police might need to contact you

I also deleted RedReader (Reddit APP) and just subscribed to a few groups here in the Fediverse
