the politics were very boring and the city building just didn't feel as good as the first.
Edit: also the UI was absolutely horrendous.

Yeah i think gaming as an industry is becoming 'more specialized' which is not necessarily good. All the engine developers are just working on very generic graphics stuff for like Unreal and Unity, rather than engine devs being a position at a company that makes games themselves, which can greatly optimize them for specific games.
how far along is it now? can you complete the game? any major framedrops?
Still pretty good. Better experience than the unmodded game.

Image proxying is now enabled. You can safely link an image to an external host and lemmy will auto-proxy it, protecting users that view it
