The US has never opposed fascism - Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany were colonialist rivals threatening US hegemony and influence and nothing more.

I’m sure he would rather put them on trains. And still wouldn’t see the hypocrisy.

Funny you mention that... one of the things that barely gets any mention in history books is how enthusiastically Europe's police forces collaborated with the Holocaust - the Vichy police literally rounded up Jewish people by the thousand to send off to the death camps without the Nazis even asking them to do so.

It's almost like the institution of police was invented to act as a distillery for the worst right-wing goons that the people at the top can sicc on anyone that the status quo has painted as a threat and/or scapegoat.

In other words, these laws are not “fighting pedophilia”. They are enabling child abuse.

So no different than all these laws that (supposedly) "stop sex trafficking" which only exist to clamp down on sex work while... drumroll... making absolutely no dent in actual sex trafficking?

Yeah... that tracks.

That and the outright censorship you see escalating all over the western world points to one thing - the massive failure of the western propaganda model itself.

It's never just been the US - Israel doesn't just have a whole bunch of enablers... said enablers also back the very idea of a modern-day Israel.

France, the UK, Germany, Australia, Apartheid-era South Africa all played their part in helping with all this - I guess the fact that it's all countries with histories that are deeply entwined with white supremacism, antisemitism and colonialism is purely coincidence, eh?

Israel is a US client state - and it's obvious to the US that Israel is not as capable of dealing with the situation as they had hoped.

They will still sell the products they produce in a marketplace.

There is no rule that states they have to sell squat in a marketplace. They could, but they also couldn't. That's the whole point of the workers owning the means of production - the workers involved makes those deicisions, not a capitalist or bureaucratic parasite class.

The only thing that makes data useful to humanity is the fact that it can be copied - not copying data is unethical.

There is such a thing as a "non-extremist" right-winger?

I stopped telling myself that twenty years ago... at one point or the other, even I couldn't believe it any more.
