I don't think it was a choice. Xbox did it first and that's why I bought a ps3. Then sony introduced it. Then nintendo. It's still less expensive than a PC hobby. Consumers don't have much say in what these companies do or how they operate.

And if you're in a HCOL city the municipality is probably thriving off the property taxes.

I know a few trust funders who don't have the billions but since they don't need to make money they've taken up jobs that contribute to the world they want to see. Lawyers and counsellors who work on a sliding scale.

I can't imagine some politician I didn't like getting 3 terms. That would blow. That's 15 years.

Wow these guys are screwed, that's textbook trafficking. I hope the laws are up to par in wherever they are.

Any kolsch paired with a clean pilsner is a nice combo.

Ah but they're expensive and closer to fizzy hop water than fermented drink.

I think a good part of that is because 'average human' is not a good way to represent who we are individually. I'm probably above average at specific things but in many other respects I'm average or below or wherever I'm supposed to be. Maybe most people are above average even though on average most of us are average.

Fully above average people IMO are like astronauts and stuff. We all live in the shadow of that former navy seal/doctor/astronaut who is like 45 or some crazy shit.

It is nice having a more personal freedom in what I choose to do in my spare time.

Also now I don't need to smoke I can just have gummies occasionally.

For whatever reason the nested comments aren't loading but I'd think twice about uploading my bank statements or anything personal to an online photo editor.
