Well, long term Americans could be making Nintendo Switches domestically. They’d be more expensive but blue collar workers could be making more money. It’s not entirely dumb as everyone here paints it even if the implementation is laughably bad. Previous term Orange man made TSMC build a cutting-edge fab which by now is operational which is also pretty important for supply chain security in case China invades Taiwan. Europe would be fucked because we didn’t do enough for domestic manufacturing. Of course Orange man can’t make up his mind between using tariffs to forward personal agenda and meddling with internal politics of trading partners of the US but sometimes he gets it right. Toys being slightly more expensive is probably lower than tan spray on his list of properties.

How does amount of units sold in one country that decided to enact tariffs relates to prices of products sold between other sovereign countries? I would like to emphasise that world doesn’t revolve around the US and that US citizens democratically made it clear that they are no longer interested in attempting to make it so.
Before anyone says “you put all your eggs in one basket,” let me be clear: I didn’t. I put them in one provider, with what should have been bulletproof redundancy:
Video game console prices didn’t rise because Brazil has high tariffs on electronics.
That’s just rose tinted glasses, there are loads of unique games that are leaps and bounds above Mario 64 or Halo, even from AAA studios. Off top of my head (so probably skewed toward recent releases): Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Tears of the Kingdom, Unicorn Overlord, Helldivers 2, Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Elden Ring, Returnal, Half Life: Alyx. Saying there are no impactful games is disrespectful to amazing work that’s still being done. They don’t have as much of a visible impact because new generation of gamers chose to play Fortnite and Genshin Impact instead.
Yes, this joint and movement is part of Beighton Score which is a measure of hypermobility and a sign of a connective tissue disorder. I won’t go as far as saying that if you’re hypermobile then you’re autistic but I know plenty of autistic people and almost all are hypermobile. When I was researching a hereditary condition that could run in my family (turned out to be correct) I spoke to some I haven’t been in contact for a long time and got surprised reactions like how did I know they could bend like rubber or how did I know grandma could too.
This low power mode has RAM running at half the bandwidth which will really kneecap performance but is a common way to increase efficiency in mobile devices. If it was about saving power they wouldn’t make adapting existing games this hard IMO.
Read as much as you can on autism, preferably written from autistic and neurotypical perspectives. There are things about autism that seem to be common knowledge among autistic people that NTs and science seem to be completely oblivious about. There are also things that autistic people attribute to autism but are result of usual comorbidities.
When thinking about what is normal it is common to be thrown off by what your family is like. Autism is highly heritable and it’s very likely that if you’re autistic then at least one of your parents autistic is too even if they don’t know it.
If you’re after something objectively verifiable on your own then look into joint hypermobility - if you can dislocate some of your joints at will then it’s surprisingly likely that you’re some form of neurodivergent. My mind was blown by some of the recent studies in that area. I wasn’t that angry about not being diagnosed earlier when it comes to how my mind works because I found ways to cope. I was angry because it turns out that there’s a whole slew of physical conditions that seem to be specific to autism that doctors aren’t aware of usually and will never consider because of their own misconceptions about autism.
Once you understand how autism works you’ll know. By the time I got formally diagnosed I didn’t have any doubt about it myself even though I would laugh at the idea couple of months before.
That’s one way to get sanctioned.
Piefed has built-in community migration feature which is why many migrated there when Lemm.ee shut down.
Web browsers are the most resource intensive apps these days. Dedicated app doesn’t have to run JavaScript or ask for UI elements over network so it’s better for both battery and bandwidth.
It’s not viable without upsetting those who benefit from status quo, that’s for sure. Many people don’t seem to be happy with that status quo though. They picked wrong answer to the correct question but they weren’t that far off.
