If you're curly, that means having straws in place of hair

I agree for the most part, and I left the Catholic Church I grew up in for that and many other reasons.

However, isn't Christ's message supposed to be "you shall love your neighbour as yourself"? When it becomes "hurt your neighbour as much as you can" does it make sense to still call it Christianity?

Since it's been that way basically from the beginning though, maybe well meaning Christian people should just step away and start over.

I had the same issue, you could try Lemmy Redirect (the github repo is named after the Mastodon proxy, but the Lemmy one is there as well), works for me.

I always try to be nice, but the motivation comes in handy when the person in front of you seems to be trying their darnest to be infuriating

That's like saying medical research is a scam and citing Andrew Wakefield as a prominent exemple

We are, to a point. US election system is particularly bad in representation, what with gerrymandering and voters disenfranchising, but even if it wasn't it's callous to say people deserve to suffer because they don't understand what they're voting for.

You're speaking from a position of privilege.

I agree, and your guess is as good as mine.

While the solution seems flimsy at best, reading the article makes things a bit more complicated. As far as I can tell, what doctors are striking against is a raise in the admission numbers for medical schools, as they think it will worsen working conditions.

Major hospitals are struggling to provide services after thousands of junior medics handed in their resignations and stopped working last week to protest against government plans to sharply increase medical school admissions in the face of a rapidly ageing society.

Seoul says it has one of the lowest doctor-to-population ratios among developed countries and the government is pushing hard to admit 2,000 more students to medical schools annually from next year.

I'm sorry, are you saying that millions of people, including children, all deserve to suffer because their establishment sucks?

[–] mzesumzira@leminal.space 4 points 6 months ago

I think it's Roma

I think I'll keep both and see which I enjoy best. Thank you for your explanation, it was appreciated.

Ah thank you, I'll look into it
