Good to hear that. Now, why are the Portuguese able to defeat far-right parties and the other European countries are not? What’s different in Portugal?

OK, so one TOTP app more. What’s this one doing better than all the others like 2FAS?

What’s written lower right? I can read “polished” and “alcohol”…

Hi everyone! I have a couple of old desktops as servers in my rack. Sometimes , very rarely, I need to use the machines console.

Slide-out rack monitors are incredibly expensive here in Germany, so these are not an option. Next I thought about USB monitors - don these work out of the box with Linux or do the need special drivers? Or would I be better off using KVM over IP? Do you know of other not-so-expensive solutions?

You’ve got 2 kidneys. You generously give one to someone in need.

You have 1 kidney. You now have a single point of failure, where you had redundancy before.

IT guy here, just in case that might have gibt unnoticed.

2FA is more secure, and IMHO there’s no need to be upset.

Just today I realised that one of the servers in my cluster up their fans RPM every 15 minutes.

I’m planning to asses first it’s because of a VM, container or PVE itself. Then find the offending process(es).

How would you approach these two steps - any ideas for tools, perhaps even by proxmox themselves?

Can anyone share if they are using PBS with remote backup storage only? I’d like to backup directly to an offsite location, so no backing up to a local drive and then syncing that to remote…

What are your considerations for restoring? I am hesitant to use PBS (on the same machine as my PVE) because with my current solution (restic), I only need to install PVE on a new machine and in addition, I’d need the static binary - and then I’m good to restore. If I’d use PBS, then I’d need to first install PVE, then PBS and only then I can restore…

Cool, I wasn’t aware that these were publicly available.

I’ve exclusively used Thinkpads with Linux as my daily driver since 20 years now. Programming, office, general tinkering (no graphics-intensive stuff though) - had almost no issues in the whole time.

IMHO for Linux, you really can’t go wrong with any Thinkpad nowadays.
