I'm with you on that. Gives a rawness and out of sorts kind of feeling that Jim would have been experiencing.

But it's one of my favourite movies, so I'm biased. It's up there with Train to Busan for zombie-flicks for me.

You might be looking for this perhaps?

I can't copy and paste the text from my phone, but under Privacy Policy > 4. When and with whom do we share your personal information?, it says the following in the first paragraph:

Vendors, Consultants, and Other Third-Party Service Providers. We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents ('third parties') who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work.

(Not verbatim...) It goes on to say the contracts are designed to safeguard personal information and can't use any personal information without their permission. Third parties will not share personal information except with them and third parties commit to data protection they hold on their behalf and to retain it for the period they have been instructed.

Third parties information may be shared with:

  • Ad Networks
  • Data Analytics Services
  • Payment Processors
  • Performance Monitoring Tools
  • Sales & Marketing Tools
  • Testing Tools
  • User Account Registration & Authentication Services
  • Website Hosting Service Providers
  • Cloud Computing Services
  • Communication & Collaboration Tools
  • Retargeting Platforms
  • Social Networks

Additionally:

  • During business transfers i.e. mergers, sale of assets, financing, acquisitions, negotiations
  • When using Google maps platform APIs
  • Other users: this seems to be mostly if you connect/interact via a social media platform like Facebook. It may be more nuanced than I understand.

Dissolution by C. J. Sansom. It's my favourite book :)

Set in England during the reign of Henry VIII and the dissolution of the monasteries, it follows a lawyer called Matthew Shardlake who is tasked to solve the murder of one of Thomas Cromwell's commissioners at Scarnsea monastery.

The series touches on the tenuous nature of politics and religion/faith of the time, amongst other things and how peoples lives were affected.

Fantastic pirate game. Very sub-par AC game, compared to its predecessors.

I don't feel like remaking Black Flag was necessary? It's not that old. Why not remake AC1? Improve that and reduce it repetitiveness.

I wonder if it will be an improvement on the original game or if it will follow the current format of AC games, which I enjoy less.

All I've wanted is an AC game in the vein of Uncharted or Tomb Raider Reboot, with an emphasis on story and stealth/assassinations.

What do you call a Rolls-Royce without wheels?

A Royce.

I think fries amongst the younger generation may be more common, but fries to me has meant the really thin cut/french fries. Which I would still call chips, but I may be an outlier.

I think I know what you refer to as strak fries and I agree, however I would still call those chips, if you can see a trend, lol.

We also call potato chips/crisps chips. So, I often get asked by foreign friends how you distinguish between chips and chips. You simply add the word hot as an identifier.

But, I'm with you on waffle fries/chips. They're amazing.

Hmm... I can't say I know exactly what steak fries are, but I imagine them to be similar to what I consider normal chips, which are thicker than fries. But, I grew up in Australia where McDonalds sells fries and hot chips are everything else

I can see where your coming from, but wedges are the bigger fatter cousins of chips, usually with some potato skin still on display, and are excellently paired with some sour cream and sweet chilli sauce and I want some...

This feels like something out of the Archer TV series.

Someone in one of the communities I frequent mentioned lemmy.wtf was nuked and they lost their account, but I wasn't able to find any further information.

Does anybody know what happened?

This isn't intended to be a support question, it was just to find out if it anybody knew what happened.
