You know how they say this is a living, breathing planet? Yep, there you go. True vegan food comes from lifeless planets.

Just learn and speak Latin or Klingon or something. Those are much less likely to change.

Yep, one of the most memorable levels in a video game ever

Yeah, don't worry about kids dying of cancer. They're irrelevant in the vastness that is god.

I wonder, tho. Which one do you mostly lean towards. Are kids dying to punish someone or are they dying to test the parents? Or is there a third, more important reason we mortals can't comprehend? Or is it just about having faith that it's his will?

I can go on a killing spree tomorrow and feel good about myself because that was god's will, right? He allowed it to happen, right?

We've either got free will in which case there's no "god's will" or, we don't actually have free will and everything is predetermined to happen anyway. Not sure which is more fucked up to believe.

None of that has anything to do with the Dems and GOP being in cahoots to control the country.

Also, the illuminati and freemasons are two different societies, get your conspiracies straight, please.

Nah, it's a lot more likely that Russia's got trump by the balls. It's about a billion times more likely than your illuminati conspiracy.

Do you also believe the earth is flat? It's about the same odds I think, altho I'm no mathematician;

You mean the case which convinced the ICJ that Israel was committing war crimes and made them order Israel to halt operations?

Just because they haven't proven genocide in the full legal sense doesn't mean what's happening there is right.

You're on the wrong side of Lemmy for these kinds of opinions. Over here Ukraine is the aggressor and the global south are a beacon of hope for the future of mankind. Puked a little in my mouth just typing that.

Objectively speaking she can dance and keep a crowd going while still hitting her notes. It doesn't matter if you don't enjoy the music, she's objectively doing a good job. You critiqued her singing, not her music.

It's ok to not like something, you know. Pretending they're not good is pretty weird tho.

British English might have continental Europe influences there whereas American English doesn't? Dunno, don't have an explanation for the difference.

As for the "flight", I've always wondered that myself, but never bothered to googled it. Simply assumed it was used for both. Just googled it now, and the consensus seems to be that a flight is an uninterrupted row of stairs. So if you have one of those spiraling staircases and it doesn't stop for 200 steps, that's one flight of stairs. If you have those zig zagging steps that you usually find in modern buildings, even tho there's only one floor between them, if there's a platform in between, that's 2 flight of stairs. So... There you go.
