From my interpretation, this meme suggests we should just stop building cars. The fact we are buying so many cars is just a testament on how bad public transportation is. Even with traffic I still manage to get 1 hour and half faster than public transportation by train + subway.
I wish the solution was as simples as a resource redirection, but unfortunately it would require some city planning and possibly rebuilding around public transportation. Not gonna happen, I guess.

In my previous home I had a couple of billies but the shelves are all noticeably curved from the weight. It was much easier to manage, tho.

Unfortunately no. I'd love if there was a place where I could try a game before buying it but unfortunately the local scene is really scarce where I exist.
I do have some LGS 20-30 mins away (by car) but with a 30 euro markup I don't see the point of even going.

I haven't tried it but I have considered getting it. My SO didn't enjoy Spirit Island and it kinda breaks my heart. I was hoping that she would enjoy a streamlined version of the game but she disliked it so much that I don't wanna force it.

We have a boardgame convention here in Lisbon but I never attended. It's not that big but who knows, maybe someone brings a board.
Last time I checked we have a couple of local sellers who sell nice boards, but it's over 200 euros. I almost prefer to hate the game xD
Dexterity games are usually not our thing. I tried a bunch of them but Menara was the first one that really clicked. I always enjoyed stacking things, tho :P
