The pre-charged kits

congrats on the installation! had not heard about of these before, but makes sense. so many questions...

are we talking a 100% closed, pre charged system with both units charged - no drying or long prep needed? anything special to do between the compressor and the air handler on final connection? with supplied gear, how did everything work for you in routng lines and positioning the air handler and compressor units?

have been thinking of adding a minisplit to my server room as additional/failure-state cooling and would usually want to use a pro for the work, but this is intriguing.

again, nice detail oriented weekend work!

the threat was more effective than the trigger pull. trust the orange idiot to show the world our bare ass.

global cooperation is the answer, but no... assuming a zero sum game (a game america is ill prepared to "win") is the mantra of decades of psychotic us leadership. so tired of this planet sized madhouse.

ok, this is offiically the best thing I have seen all day.

yes, they are smaller, aerobic, slow twitch muscle fibers. my endurence comment was more related to delivering oxygen to the muscle, but was sloppy. was waiting for someone to poke me over it :-)

smaller functional muscle fibre size is one of the reasons you will often see very svelte endurance athletes.

you can build both slow twitch and the 2 types of fast twitch muscle fibers simultaneously with well planned workouts, but dont worry too much about this. your body will adapt to whatever you train for, just keep a good mix of everything you have mentioned so far and your body will respond.

never neglect the cardio though. a resonable mix of HIIT cardio will add aerobic capacity without sacrificing muscle mass or size. your high rep. punches with 16oz gloves will take care of shoulder endurance.

alas, public funding of actual technological wizardry steals eyeballs away from the social sideshow, so... *snip*

if you are looking for volume, research bodybuilding - its a specific approach. strength training is also different. what you are likely experiencing is endurance (muscle/cardio/etc) training in addition to the skill bumps.

fat wont hold back muscle gain, but it will hide it. good news is that as you more build muscle, you burn more calories. less mass means better cardio, which builds muscle endurance.

good luck with the boxing! its a fantastic martial art.

Honestly he should sue for slander/libel and endangerment to his self/family for someone making such claims.

I think that might actually help the doj by providing an accepted definition.

this will likely come down to the govts whimsical attempt to criminally define clearly amorphous (but protected) speech for its prosecutorial benefit. a criminal case should ~~loose~~ lose instantly up and down the courts. we may get a chance to test that.

Two minutes into its flight, the rocket reached the Kármán line, the internationally-recognised border for space at 100km. A minute later, it reached it's peak altitude of 121.6km.

I would be happy to just dream in this kind of joy.

Fuck James Comey

well, yes... but. if the trump directed doj pursues a charge, its a serious 1st amendment challenge. we can all individually guess at motive, but another pillar may get publicly tested.

there is no "set" definition

👍 bread & circus about to get a whole lot circus-ier. wonder if they have the balls to charge?

have enjoyed this quite a bit. its funny, science-y and a great downtime listen with a nice hhgttg feel. production will hopefully continue with a little more attention.

I have noticed recently (perhaps within the last 6-12 months?) that I can hit many major sites via Tor with JavaScript off. there are a few that reject Tor connections or render illegibly - but, for many mainstream sites, things are actually pretty reasonable. fingerprinting and personal threat models aside, this seems like a positive move and feels different from e.g. 2 years ago.

am I slowly going insane? has anyone else noticed this? tested over time via orbot and classic Tor nodes with various hardened and non-hardened browsers and DNS resolvers.

super tight fit and I had to shear off a tiny tab on the wiper blade to complete the install, however its all good and solid.

wife gave me the "damn, you're useful" smile. good times.

just updated to the v0.0.35 f-droid build and jerboa started to consistently crash at seemingly random times. likewise, I would get web UI error notifications while using the web frontend.

did a little testing and noticed that it may be related to the "show avatars" setting being enabled.

turning "show avatars" off and saving the settings seems to have eliminated the issues on both web and app.

will continue to test and update the post if needed. any others able to confirm or refute this particular issue might be helpful.

edit: there are still crashes related to editing a post, but crashes while scrolling through posts and comments seem to be much reduced. any feedback is welcome.

edit2: further poking suggests the underlying cause may be jerboa not handling server response timeouts well. turning off avatars may reduce the number of API calls and therefore the number of potentially mishandled timeouts. crash frequency is likely variable as a result of variable server load. if others also experience reduced crash frequency with avatars turned off then I can either create a github issue or add info to an existing one.

sorry about the quality - was stopped (safety first) but dealing with poor picture taking conditions.

Just checked the Jerboa git and...

Had to document it for posterity.

pretty please... we need a samwise "share the load" meme for Lemmy instances, and it should be pinned far and wide.

mememasters... do your thing.
