It looks like the "S" key on your keyboard is broken.

Another option: Gmail supports the "+" operator. If your email address is: Alice@gmail.com

You can use an email like Alice+eBay@gmail.com

To sign up for eBay. Now you can filter all of the garbage sent to that address easily! Bonus, you get to see who's selling your data which is always frustrating and entertaining.

Did you all see that SDF Chatter is listed as the first recommended Lemmy instance in this popular Awesome List?

But discord supports sending messages to people who are offline. It kind of breaks the paradigm if certain features require full synchronous communication. Maybe supporting p2p transfers during a video / voice chat would work though.

Now supports "mark read on scroll" if you like to keep the Frontpage fresh. So good!

One reason we care about this is because we can choose to or to not purchase small fractions of these public companies and become partial owners. This information is useful in making investment decisions.

Curious because I'm new.... What makes the instance semi-private? Is it just that the instance is small, or is there a setting that makes finding things harder for other instances?

Just need a "mark read in scroll" for those of us who like fresh content and doomscroll often.

I don't understand. I love free software more than the average person, but I choose the communities I belong to based on more things than the license of the underlying technology. What else do I need to learn?
