Did you post a Feature Request on the Lemmy connect community? The Dev is pretty reactive, to bugs as well as to requests.

[-] reallyzen@unilem.org 23 points 9 months ago

Connect has most of the features people are asking for here

Me too, which makes Sync an endless scroll of black squares where ads should be. No thanks, Connect it is.

Thanks for the info. I'm a bit on the classic side, on mobile, with adguard DNS, proton VPN and Firefox Focus.

The F with websites that doesn't allow my DNS, my VPN, and my adblocker. My browser, my rules - your website and business plan, your choice. My private data.

Block Instance is available on the Connect app.

Yes. I buy on ebooks dot com, where you can filter by the DRM-free critter. It is also a neat trick to discover new authors.

I do this absolutely out of personal opinion on the matter, and would rather buy dead-tree-and-ink than a closed version (that won't open on my e-reader anyway).

The whole - and excellent - Murderbot Diaries series is DRM-free ! I wonder what/who make the decision on that matter.

This is going to be my next requested feature to the Connect android app. They are super-reactive, squashing bugs in 24h or less, and adding features as fast also.

New Bug Of The Day :)

Step to reproduce: set all settings for all accounts to blur nsfw content ; subscribe to an nsfw sub ; when a post appear (as intended as a nsfw gray square) click on the name of the author - results : all the post history of the author is uncensored.

Edit: same happen if I click on the subbed community from the left panel.

Good luck with this one, and as ever, thanks and congrats for your good work and dedication.

Thank you so much. Unrelated bug, I couldn't "buy you a coffee" from my android phone, be it Firefox or Chrome. I'll try from home.

On beta (from the g play store) 1.0.144 I can't zoom on pictures anymore. Pinch doesn't work, double-tap neither. I've disabled all gestures/tap actions in case the touchscreen registered something wrongly.

Pics only occupy 1/3 of screen if clicked from List view; shows full screen from Card view. It's the same on 3 different accounts on 3 different instances - can't zoom in or out.

Thank you for your commitment to Connect and Lemmy.

As a former user of RiF, one thing I used a lot was filtering out media / sites I don't want to hear from, places I don't trust etc.

It would be a fantastic addition to keywords and users/communities blocking already in place. Like I don't want to see stuff from youtube, for instance. Or the Daily Mirror...

Keep up the good work, so far Connect is my favorite app to lurk the lemmyverse!

A Bath Room. No, not a bathroom. A room just for a wide bath, with a fireplace, a window overlooking greenery. A sound system of course. There'll be a small bookshelf for a choice of relaxed reading, and possibly a fridge at arms length with a choice of relaxing drinks.

Same here. I only buy drm-free from ebooksdotcom, and transfer them with ~~caliber~~ calibre. My kobo wifi isn't even configured.

I believe a lot of the new users' influx was knee-jerk reaction towards it. Then people calmed down and went back to their old habits, leaving the fediverse with millions of dead accounts.

I enjoyed being a mod to a helpful community tho - but no, I'm no longer working for free so that spez can shine in the stock market: that's exactly who I'm not, exactly against all my values.

The internet has changed so much.
