"doomerism" is just reasonable pessimism about electoralism within a dying empire

i thought he sounded cool too but in the end it's just another counter-insurgency candidate trying to capture and waste as much socialist organising capacity as possible.

especially when there's not even a pretence of a democratic mechanism within the party, just whatever Farage says goes

https://x.com/HOTWisconsin/status/1952418431816351973 video here. he's always been soft on the NYPD but yesterday ramped it up. it's not "fatalistic doomerism" to point out that the Democrats are a Nazi party actively committing genocide and anyone who thinks that project is worth "working within" is either compromised or stupid.

I think Reform are basically stuck at 25-30% of the electorate at the moment and are trying to appear more "moderate" to expand their base as that won't be enough for a durable majority. See their statement about the Online Safety Act too. They're backed by American Christian fundamentalists at the end of the day so you can't trust this one bit.

who knew that this is what happens when you put faith in a Democrat? we've never seen anything like this before. usually the grassroot candidate goes way left after getting elected, not the other way around! anyway, let's make sure that this strategy gets replicated across the country...

They've been trying to build up drone production according to reports but it's very difficult when the zionists are free to bomb them and the Lebanese "state" just lets it happen. It's a very difficult situation for Hezbollah.

idk it's probably fair to hope that the state wouldn't attack the force that has defended Lebanon time and time again from the genocidal invaders, but i guess the geniuses in the government think that they can be another Jordan, rather than this leaving themselves defenceless against an entity which was trying to annex the south of the country literally within living memory

Hezbollah made a lot of mistakes but the traitorous backstabbing on display here isn't anything to do with those i think
