Finally started Caligula Effect 2 recently. It took me a while to remember what I liked about the first one enough that I bought the sequel, but fighting an enemy three times your level reminded me what made the combat so great. I kinda regret not having put the game on the highest difficulty now, because it definitely shines the most when you're in mortal danger.

It's okay to critisize, but spoiling the end of Super Mario World is just spiteful.

My final percentage was 84.83% after ~205 hours. I didn't think I'd have more than 70%, I was kinda surprised. I also forgot to add the monster medals to the list of things I don't care about.

The first Caligula was... okay. I liked it and completed it 100%, but I wouldn't recommend going that far. You can tell it was originally a Vita game, it looks quite awful. But that's also why I'm excited to play the sequel, it was made for modern hardware.

Tears of the Kingdom, one last time. I've done and collected everything I care about, which is pretty much everything except Korok Seeds, upgrading pointless armor and schematics (though I probably have all of those) and all that's left is to beat the game.

And then I'm finally free again! I can jump back into Monster Hunter Rise, which I haven't touched in two months. There's some endgame content I haven't even touched yet and I'm sure I'm rusty enough to have a very bad time! I can also finally take a look at Sealed Palace, an Ocarina of Time Rom Hack.

I probably won't get around to the next large game yet, Caligula Effect 2, which has been sitting on my shelf for a while. But I do want to finish that before Baten Kaitos releases, so I shouldn't wait too long.

Another pet peeve of mine that didn’t get mentioned is that you hold B to run on land, but X to swim faster in water. What’s up with that?

What? That's so bizarre. I switched the buttons for Jump and Dash in the options Day 1 in both BotW and TotK, so the X button is the "go fast"-button both on land and in water for me. I'm more confused why the swim button doesn't get swapped as well if that's the case.

At this point, I feel like they need to triple down on the guest characters and tracks. Tracks bases on Zelda, F-Zero, Excitebike and Animal Crossing in this game prove that it works and they're certainly more interesting than "Beach Track #12". Not to mention the roster being able to replace some of its nonsensical characters with actual ones.

The booster pack is all extra tracks combined. You couldn't buy them individually even if you wanted to.

I'll take you back there, but I've only ever travelled through time once, so safety is not guaranteed.

The funny part is, you're viewing and participating in kbin content right here. This is a thread posted to kbin. My reply will look to you as if it was made in lemmy, but it's not. I have a kbin account, and that's the magic at work.
