I want to read this article. I went to the Indy 500 for the first time ever last year because I love Indy Car and racing. But let’s just say I wasn’t a huge fan of a lot of the attendees. I’m pretty sure not too many of the educated Indiana diaspora are returning anymore.

I have no idea what kind of training or flotation devices seals wear while boarding. Is there any way to get enough gear off to remain afloat if you fall in? Is there an inflatable that helps? I would imagine they prefer not to wear something that reduces mobility.

All I can say is leave IT if all your choices are freelancing and starting your own IT business. It’s the same total magnitude of stress spread into new areas: marketing, sales, contracts, etc. Keeping a sales pipeline going is a never ending nightmare requiring truly mind-numbing SEO and groveling to the cheapest people who expect 24/7 full stack support.

IT contracting is a race to the bottom for all but the most naturally suited and heavily networked individuals.

I lost my manufactured-for-the-US Surface Pro charger while living in Taiwan, got a replacement Taiwan 110V/50hz adapter that I’ve used for years with no issues. Is that the norm? No idea.

(And, never fear, the Surface Pro runs Linux now so no Microsoft hate needed at this particular moment.)

The Supreme Court is prepared to jump through those hoops. They’ve practiced long and hard for this opportunity.

Apparently you failed to read and/or comprehend the article.

“From these 14,000 initial victims, however, the hackers were able to then access the personal data of the other 6.9 million million victims because they had opted-in to 23andMe’s DNA Relatives feature. This optional feature allows customers to automatically share some of their data with people who are considered their relatives on the platform.”
