I 100% agree with you, actually. That's a noble goal. But you will always end up being taken advantage of for this belief by people who will deserve imprisonment or execution.

Most of the EA games I buy (not all, but a significant majority) are sold for less, sometimes a lot less, than their final sale price, and I get tangible input on the design decisions before 1.0. I'm a big fan. I get to provide funding and feedback to a game I'm excited to see, get it for a good discount, get to see it grow up, and then when it blows up and everyone loves the game I'm considered a source of arcane ancient knowledge about it. It's fun.

Mostly I enjoy being able to go on a game forum and say "this sucks, we should consider changing A to B" and then logging in next week to find B implemented.

Almost all people who didn't vaccinate against covid are still alive and well you know

Ah, so we're just ignoring the 7 million deaths from covid then. (Source: the World Health Organization (WHO)

Covid killed more people than the fucking holocaust, so far, it isn't even finished yet. I don't understand how people don't realize this.

And then you accidentally inflict checkmate 30 turns ago two timelines over and have no idea how the fuck you did it

Until people start watching it. Any significant concentration of eyes will spawn ads.

If I'm going to get shot at by some AR-toting bigot, or I'm going to get shot at by an AR-toting bigot that I'm returning fire on, I'll take the second choice 10/10 times. These people have proven that they are willing and able to use violence to accomplish their goals. Waiting calmly for them to do so is a recipe for dying without anything to show for it.

Which won't happen unless our government is dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up.

Just because you're in prison forever doesn't mean there isn't further punishment that can be doled out. Officially, solitary confinement is a pretty catch-all punishment for misbehavior, and extended stays in solitary can and will drive humans insane. Like, nonfunctionally insane, can no longer interact with other humans without extensive therapy. Unofficially, prisoners can get the shit kicked out of them on the regular by gangs of guards, or specially targeted for constant "random" shakedowns, have rumors spread about them among other inmates, the list goes on.

For non-lifers, you can always get time tacked on. For lifers, you can paint a target on yourself for guard harassment or lock yourself into solitary until you're no longer a human being. And the constitution enshrines slavery as being specifically allowed as punishment for a crime in Amendment 13, so unfortunately the prison is well within its rights to do so and punish for noncompliance.

I'm really not being dramatic, I want to know how you expect to pull and replace this pin in half an hour if it's a part of the steering column assembly. Steering column R&R is minimum 3 hours almost no matter what car it's on, source being I literally do this for a living every day.

Also it's called a shear pin, not a "sheer" pin. I do know what they are, and I know how to spell it too. Sure, the pin is five bucks. How do you expect to access it? That's where your cost and labor comes in. If the column needs to come out - which it usually does, in 99% of all cases where it's being worked on - whoever told you they can do it in a half hour told you a big fat stankin' lie right to your face.
