For switches:

Durock Shrimp or Gazzew U4 switches for slightly on the premium side. If you feel .65 per switch is a bit much, I highly recommend Haimu Whisper (.30 cents per) or Wuque WS silents - not as thocky as Shrimp or U4 but more comfortable to type on, imo.

Didn't even know that sort of site was a thing. I do have a few kits I want to pass onto people who will be able to use them. Thanks!

Some people splurge on coiled cables, others....Hehe- No, it's the shortest usbc connect cable I have and it's just the right lenght to the monitor. 😅

Received my Susu set and have to say I'm enamored with it, there's just something about the satin feel and the way it cups your fingertips is just so right - I have a tendency to lightly feather the home row in between typing/composing text and best I can put it: gentle gliding vs. skidding compared to GMK/DMK CYL. Photos posted online seems to really highlight the grains and it was my main concern as I have the original pbt MT3 /dev/tty and really disliked the gritty texture not to mention the height, but once I opened the box and ran my fingers over the Enter key I was sold. Also being thockier and deeper sounding on the down stroke is a plus. Did lose about 3-5 wpm testing on monkeytpe but it's to be expected as I'm a long time GMK CYL user so I expect a few days to get back to speed. Very pleased over all but slightly dreading rebuying some of the CYL coloways I really liked once designers start releasing their MTNU versions.

You definitely have a winner Matt3o, thanks!

And for people who goes: "ewww GMK...abs yuck" - No, it's pbt.

How do you like the MTNU? How's the height compared to CYL, any transition mistype(s)? Lovely setup really.

If it's anything like their mini pc business, it can be hit and miss - best to wait a bit. Seems their business model (at least on the pc side) is to pump out the latest trend and move on and not really fix any issues that crops up. Also they are based out of china so you might have to eat the shipping cost for any "fix".

Always liked Susuwatari but could never get myself comfortable with MT3 profile. So glad for the reminder, placed an order - finally going to get my own set of Susuwatari, thanks!

Are you in the US? I see a few XDA sets in darker schemes like this one: amazon link for dark theme set $25

Double check and make sure it has the coverage for your specific keyboard, I don't recall which brand(s) but something like Razor or the like have non-standard spacebar size 5.5u , etc.

Am with kilted_ on this one, possibly look at one of the other uniform profile like KAM as he mentioned, or DSA. XDA is not very comfortable to type on extensively, and tends to wobble on lighter switches.

I'll toss another silent tactile into the ring: Durock Shrimp tactiles. I use Zilent 62g, U4 62g, and Shrimps interchangeably and like them the most for the consistency(least spring pings/scratchiness), smoothness, and bump.

Coconuts I can sort of get, but watermelons? Is it some sort of metallic taste?

Mayo (and creamy dressings, to most extent). It's on by default for most of the things I like when eating out, especially fast food.
