Programmers are probably chill af, looks like a very bad day for some network people though.

I'm very new to Solarpunk, but Hundertwasser seems to gel very nicely with what I've seen of the ethos.

He has designed, and actually implemented many buildings which tightly integrate nature into the urban environment.

His political views leave a LOT to be desired but his work is extremely inspiring.

I love this channel and it'd be great to share it with others and discuss the project.

Post all the spinoff and related projects, channels and videos here to collect them all in one place.

Whether its an ex crew member who's started their own channel or someone contributing to the project, it belongs here.

Open House 2023 Sunday 10th September, 9am - 1pm

All time-slots are now booked, but if you'd like to attend the open house, please come between 9am and 1pm and there will be a queue for people who were not able to book a slot!

We are located in the Port Townsend Boatyard (the exact location is shown on the booking page).

What to expect;

When you arrive just before your allocated time, you will be guided up some steps onto a mezzanine, where you will be able to see Tally Ho's deck for a short time. Then you will pass into the woodworking shop where some of the crew will be answering questions, before exiting.

We are anticipating a lot of people, so we have to limit viewing time on the mezzanine to try to ensure eveybody gets to see Tally Ho's deck. After you have passed through the workshop you are welcome to spend more time in the big shed looking at the Tally Ho from below.

Please be respectful of other businesses in the boatyard, and keep out of the roads and access areas.

Be aware that there could be a wait, even if you have booked a slot. Bring food, water, sunscreen etc if you need it.

There is no fee, but feel free to give donations to the project or tips to the crew if you feel like it.

There will be no parking in the boatyard itself - we recommend parking across the main road in the Safeway parking lot and making a short walk from there.

Our open house event coincides with the final day of the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival (which I highly recommend).

There are some massive intrinsic advantages of the CLI though, that apply for everyone, not just leetcoders:

  • The terminal can remember everything you ever did. Forgotten the command you wrote 2 months ago? You can do a search for it with a tool like fzfand run the exact same command again.
  • Communicating with others. GUI programs require step by step instructions, often accompanied by screenshots while CLI may be copy/pasted.
  • Combining programs together. There are a few different techniques for combining CLI programs to search/format output, use secrets without ever having them in the clipboard or on disk, monitor something frequently/constantly etc etc

So while I agree with you that there's plently of elitism around the CLI, you do yourself a disservice if you try to avoid it.

No one cares about the rich assholes who own other car companies, so why Tesla? For example Toyota were some of the biggest campaign donors to Trump.

Also what does this have to do with Fuck Cars? This is about the minutiae of car culture... We should be talking about trains and bicycles here.
