Also, gotta think about whether 5% mortality rate is acceptable.

For an airdrop number of pond fish? Sure!

For your hobbyist number of expensive fish? Absolutely not

I should have mentioned no numbers either

Explain it to me, but don’t use any words

I gotta say, that’s a pretty good useless item

I tried to cross post it here: https://lemmy.world/post/22093917

Not sure if I did it correctly, though

I know that… I was taking liberties to take hydroelectric power to its furthest logical extension by saying that the sun is evaporating (boiling) the water, it goes through the water cycle, it is deposited atop mountains or further upriver, and it then flows back down through the hydroelectric stations.

One could even argue that hydro power is just boiling water, letting it condense, and then letting it spin a turbine

Definitely a good reminder!

Pretty much the same as before the election. Life moves on.

Who the fuck thought this up

  1. Remove the mat from the bottom of the rear door pocket.
  2. Press the red tab to remove the access door.
  3. Pull the mechanical release cable forward.

I don’t think so, I had to go in and do the song and dance with changing a config file. Reposting this comment here for posterity.

  1. Delete .kobo/KoboReader.sqlite (if you are already signed in).
  2. Restart Kobo
  3. DO NOT tap "Set up over wi-fi". Press the other one and connect it to a computer.
  4. Go to .kobo/Kobo/Koboreader.config (or something like that)
  5. Open the config file and under [ApplicationPreferences], write on a new line: SideloadedMode=true.
  6. If you did not do steps 1 and 2, delete .kobo/KoboReader.sqlite.
  7. Eject and restart ereader.
  8. Yay! You just bypassed registration!

Not without significant hurdles due to Amazon’s (very intentionally crafted) walled garden. You’re locked in by the file format as well as Amazon’s DRM. If you do anything to bypass this, it’s technically illegal as a violation of the DMCA.

Other relevant quote from the article:

The scented water is part of the new Baby Dior skincare collection, which also includes a $115 moisturizer for babies and a $95 cleansing foam.

With the state of Amazon currently, I can’t tell what is good and what is crap on there anymore. So I wanted to ask you fine people if you had any recommendations on cappuccino mugs. Not super worried about cost, but also don’t want to break the bank for some mugs.

Any recommendations / thoughts appreciated!

Hello!

I recently got a new espresso machine (a Breville Barista Express if that helps at all), and I have no idea how to get started picking espresso beans. I think I’d like a milder, darker roast for either lattes / cappuccinos but also good for drinking straight.

Where do I even go about finding a good bag of beans? Are there any recommended sites? Do you just go to your grocery store?

Any other advice for a brand-new first timer?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
